I approach counselling from an integrative perspective and am influenced by Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, Attachment, Jungian and Internal Family Systems therapies. I believe that a client is the expert in his or her own life, and that my job as a counsellor is to build a safe and trusting relationship with a client that is based on empathy, non-judgment, warmth, and authenticity. In my work with clients I often include metaphors, stories, humor, experiential exercises, and mindfulness techniques. I value a holistic approach to working with clients, which means I seek to address a client’s emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.
